Permanent Makeup & Microblading

Permanent makeup, also known as micropigmentation or semi permanent makeup, is a treatment where hypoallergenic pigments are infused into the dermal layer of the skin, using a method similar to conventional tattooing. The results give your brows a sculptured effect, define the eyes and add subtle softness to the lips, so you wake up ready.

This is not a surface level facial. It is a clinical treatment aimed at long term skin quality and firmness, and it can be used on the face, neck and body.

How it works

The process begins with a detailed consultation, where your ideal colours and definition are chosen.
Careful measurements are taken and guiding curves are drawn onto the face, and the treatment only begins once you are completely happy with the shape and colours.
The pigment is then applied to produce a well balanced, natural enhancement that suits your features.

Microblading

Microblading is a form of cosmetic tattooing, but unlike a regular tattoo it uses a manual handheld tool to place the pigment under the skin rather than a machine. Fine hair strokes are created to mimic your natural brow hairs, helping your eyebrows look fuller and more defined. The shape and colour are matched to your features, so the finish looks natural. A top up is usually needed a few weeks after your first treatment to perfect the result.

Important Info & Aftercare

Pre-Treatment & Consultation

A patch test and consultation are required 48 hours before your first treatment, so we can check for any sensitivity and plan your brows properly.
At your consultation we choose your colours and shape, take careful measurements, draw the guiding curves, and complete your medical forms.
We only begin once you are completely happy. Individual results vary based on your skin type, age, lifestyle and aftercare. This treatment is for over 18s only.

Medical Contraindications (Who it isn't for)

This treatment is not suitable for everyone. Please tell us at your consultation, and do not book, if any of the following apply. This is a guide, not a full list, and your practitioner will carry out a proper assessment.

You are under 18
You are pregnant or breastfeeding
You are prone to keloid scarring
You have eczema, psoriasis, an active skin infection or a cold sore in or near the brow area
You have diabetes, which may need GP clearance first
You take blood thinning medication or have a bleeding disorder
You have had recent Botox or filler in the area, which may need time to settle first
You are using or have recently used Roaccutane or a similar isotretinoin treatment
You have an autoimmune condition or are undergoing treatment such as chemotherapy, which may need GP clearance

Essential Aftercare

Looking after your brows while they heal protects your result. At a basic level:

Keep the area clean and avoid direct water contact for 48 hours
Avoid extreme heat until your brows are fully healed, including saunas, steam rooms, sunbeds, sun tanning and swimming
Your brows will look darker at first and will soften as they heal, fading by around 40 to 50 percent
Itching and redness are normal, but do not pick or scratch the area, as this can affect healing and pigment
Apply the aftercare balm as directed to ease any itching
Avoid makeup on the area while it heals
Avoid sweating and strenuous exercise for the first few days
Once healed, wear sunscreen on the area to protect the colour
Avoid facials, chemical peels and retinol on the brows while they heal
