Threading

Threading is an inexpensive, safe, simple, fast and effective method of hair removal. It removes facial hair quickly and effectively without damaging the skin. In fact, threading has been used for more than 1,000 years by Asians to remove unwanted facial hair.

Threading is the perfect facial hair removal alternative to waxing, depilatory creams, tweezing or laser, especially if you have sensitive skin. Unlike laser hair removal, waxing or the use of depilatories, irritation and skin rashes are avoided as the top layer of your skin is not stripped off in the process. Also, since threading is a completely natural hair removal process, it works on all skin types, whether you have normal skin,

Important Info & Aftercare

  • Consultation Check: Let your therapist know your desired brow shape or any specific areas you want to target or leave to grow out.

  • Hold the Actives: Avoid using high-strength retinoids, chemical exfoliants, or facial scrubs for 48 hours prior to treatment, as these can thin the skin and increase sensitivity.

  • Arrive Clean: Try to arrive with your brows or facial area free of heavy makeup or thick concealers.

This treatment is not suitable for individuals with any of the following conditions:

  • Open wounds, severe active acne breakouts, or sunburn in the area to be threaded.

  • Recent chemical peels or laser treatments on the face within the past 7–10 days.

  • Active cold sores or contagious skin lesions in the treatment zone.

  • Soothe the Skin: It is completely normal to experience slight redness or tiny bumps immediately after threading. Apply pure aloe vera gel or a soothing, non-comedogenic lotion to calm the area.

  • Keep Pores Clean: Avoid touching the freshly threaded area with unwashed hands, and do not apply heavy makeup or liquid foundations for 12–24 hours to prevent blocked pores and breakouts.

  • Avoid Intense Heat: Avoid hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, swimming pools, and intense workouts for 24 hours while the hair follicles are open and vulnerable.

  • Sun Care: Avoid direct sun exposure or sunbeds for 24–48 hours to protect the sensitive skin from hyperpigmentation.
